Team practices are being held every week at Atomix. Atomix offers us a tournment set up with their fields. They also have great competition. We have been regulars there practicing with the likes of Atomix, Hyper Active, and The Rat Factory. Even though we end up getting spanked, we feel we have been improving. We just have to look at our results of our last tournment where we finished 4th in the Toledo 3 man tourney on July 12th. Getting our asses kicked has really paid off!!!!!

The team attributes their success to their weekly practices and the fact that they have been hanging out more lately. July 11th the team got together the night before the tourney, talking strategy and listening to the Keen ramble on till 2 in the morning (it was all fun). We awoke the next day and headed out to the touney. The AZ crew started out with a bang, winning their first 5 games. With their sights set on the finals, the team stumbled a bit scoring only 10 points total in games 6 and 7. A trip to the finals would not be easy.
However, the team stepped it up in their remaining games and received a finals birth. The team took 1 out of 3 in the finals and finished fourth overall. The team did have a chance to take first. In fact, in the last game of the finals Alex ran up and bunkered the man in the snake. After being shot the guy dropped to his knees covering the hit. When asked about the situation Alex said, "What can you do? It's part of the game and that sort of stuff is going to happen. Next time I'll just have to give the guy some bonus balls to make sure."
Overall it was a very successful tournment. "We really came together and played like a team," commented Pete after the tourney. Dave and Pete had numerous flag pulls and hangs. Alex pulled a Dave Feiertag, running down the tape taking out the entire team. Dave said the best feeling was hearing other teams talk about playing us and having our name announced as the 4th place winners. Great job guys!!!!!!!
